Flight Quarantined at Dublin Airport
Continental Flight 22, a 757 from Newark to Dublin was quarantined on arrival at Dublin airport at 8am on 04 March due to 12 passengers falling quite ill whilst aboard the 6.5 hour nonstop direct flight. Their symptoms were vomiting, severe nausea and diarrhoea. A doctor finally inspected all the passengers upon arrival and decided to let all non-ill passengers off the aircraft.
Three passengers were evaluated as suffering from severe food-poisoning and admitted to hospital. After an interrogation process it was assessed that the 25 passengers who had any degree of symptoms were all part of a group that had eaten a chicken dinner at a New York restaurant prior to boarding the flight.
