Atlanta Airport Stays Busiest in U.S.

For the third year in a row, based on preliminary Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) data for 2007, Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport retains the distinction of being the nation’s busiest airport.  Hartsfield saw 994,466 takeoffs and landings last year, up 1.8 percent from 2006. Chicago’s O’Hare International remains in second place with 935,000 operations, down 2.4 percent from 2006. Dallas-Forth Worth International was a distant third, with 686,711 takeoffs and landings.
