Air Charter Summit Set for June 9-11

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) is now accepting registrations for the 2008 Air Charter Summit at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles conference center and hotel in Chantilly, VA, on June 9-11, 2008. Last years' inaugural Summit drew nearly 300 industry executives who heard from nationally recognized business leaders and government officials on topics including safety and regulatory issues confronting America's Part 135 community. During the 2008 Air Charter Summit, attendees will have ample opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of how to grow and thrive in an industry that is increasingly visible within the halls of government and to network with colleagues and prominent regulatory officials. NATA President James K. Coyne stated. "This year's Summit promises to be even better than last year when you consider the vast array of highly contentious and political issues confronting the charter industry." Summit highlights include in-depth analyses of current regulatory and legislative issues as well as special topical sessions, including: managing the emerging legal issues confronting charter operators; analysis of the most frequently violated regulations, and how to avoid noncompliance; updates on the latest Transportation Security Administration security initiatives, including security programs for private aircraft; and understanding the impact of international SMS requirements on Part 135 operators.
