ARINC at Detroit Airport
ARINC Managed Services has won a competitive three-year contract to provide managed IT services for the common-use passenger systems, local area network, and flight information displays at the new North Terminal of Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. ARINC’s customer is the Detroit Airport North Terminal Consortium (DANTeC). The Managed Services award follows a separate March 2008 contract naming ARINC’s Airport Systems Division as the common-use technology provider at the North Terminal. Under the contract, ARINC Managed Services will support not only the 46 ARINC check-ins and departure control workstations at the terminal, but dozens of multiple-user flight information displays (MUFIDS), the terminal’s local area network, and telephone and network infrastructures, which were all provided by third parties.
