Indra on Mongolian ATM Project

Indra has entered Mongolia's market with a contract to modernize the country's air traffic management and control systems. The Spanish company will supply, implement and start up three surveillance and control systems and four radio navigation systems for the Mongolian Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA). The contract for Mongolia consists of the development and implementation of three Mode-S Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar systems (MSSR) in Muren, Ulaanbaatar and Bor-Undur. The systems, developed with proprietary technology, allow a direct data link with an aircraft and are superior to traditional systems in terms of data transmission capacity. Indra will also implement four radionavigation systems (DVOR/DME) that will be located at Ulaanbaatar, Meren, Urgamal and Enderkhaan airports, in Mongolia. These systems emit a signal that allows aircrafts to check their position and the route for destination.
