Flight Options Partners with NASA

Flight Options recently partnered with the NASA Glenn Research Center to develop a web-based training program that educates pilots and aircraft ground support personnel on aircraft de-icing procedures. “Flight Options was an invaluable source of expertise throughout the development of the training program,” said NASA’s Tom Bond. “Their training department provided us with full access to the de-icing best practices and procedures that have helped make Flight Options a respected industry leader in aviation safety.” The web-based training program, “A Pilot’s Guide to Ground Icing,” is available at http://aircrafticing.grc.nasa.gov/courses_ground.htmland. It is primarily intended for pilots who make their own operational de-icing and anti-icing decisions. This includes private pilots as well as those who fly business, corporate, air taxi or freight operations in fixed-wing aircraft. The training is based on procedures that Flight Options has had in place for years.
