Detection Deadline

All checked baggage was to be screened for explosives by Dec. 31, 2002, a deadline the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said it met. Various methods could be used to screen checked baggage: explosives detection systems (EDS), explosives trace detection (ETD) devices, K-9 dog-teams...
