Viking Gets Heavy Maintenance Contract

Under an agreement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Victoria, Canada-based Viking Air Ltd. will perform heavy maintenance on one of eight Argentine Aeronautic Administration DHC-6-200 Twin Otters. On behalf of the Government of Argentina, the ICAO awarded the contract to Viking, which will complete the aircraft at its facility at Victoria Intl Airport. Services will include a major D-check, aircraft inspection and overhaul, painting and installation of Pratt & Whitney PT6A-27s. Work is scheduled to begin in October.
