VEM Receives ANAC's Certification for CFM 56 Engines
Having decided to increase the portfolio of products it makes available to the market and to offer “nose-to-tail” maintenance to its clients, VEM Maintenance & Engineering, which already has the technology for maintenance of Pratt & Whitney and Rolls Royce engines, is investing more heavily in this segment. It has just received ANAC (Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency) certification for performing maintenance on CFM 56-3 engines. After careful inspection by ANAC, involving the facilities, technical manuals, tooling and technical training, the Brazilian agency certified VEM's Engine Shop, in Rio de Janeiro, where this type of service is performed. VEM now is another option for its clients, since that have been times when those operators were forced to hire foreign companies to perform this service, which increased the turnaround time (TAT) of their aircraft.
