Universal Receives EFI-890R Astra STC

Columbia Avionics has obtained an FAA supplemental type certificate (STC) to install Universal Avionics’ EFI-890R flat panel display on the Gulfstream Astra 1125 (G100). Installation involves a three-panel EFI-890R display consisting of two primary flight displays (PFDs) and one navigation display, and the STC includes Universal’s Vision-1 synthetic vision system, application server unit and radio control units. As the holder of the STC, Columbia Avionics will equip the aircraft with the avionics suite. The Columbia, Mo.-based company holds numerous STCs for the EFI-890R on other platforms, including the Cessna Citation 500 and 650 series.
