United Recalling 100-Plus Mechanics

Chicago-based United Airlines has started the process of recalling 107 furloughed line mechanics to assist with repairing cabins, reducing aircraft out of service and ensuring fleet reliability. The recalls will be effective across all of the carrier's hubs. According to the Associated Press, a total of 2,995 United mechanics are currently furloughed.
