USAF Maintenance Hangar Opens in Hawaii

U.S. Air Force and elected officials have opened a new $25-million hangar dedicated to C-17 fuel tank maintenance at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii. The hangar will allow repair for transient aircraft in the Pacific fleet. There is also an enclosed area for fuel cell maintenance, which supports other airframes, including the C-17, KC-135, C-40, C-37 and KC-10.
