US Airways Sued Over Automatic Raises

The union representing US Airways' mechanics and baggage handlers filed a federal lawsuit against the airline over raises it says are owed after the 2005 merger of US Airways and America West. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers said it filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Virginia after the Tempe airline filed a motion in Bankruptcy Court last week to block an arbitration hearing over the raises that were scheduled to begin this week.  More
