SR Technics Weighs Interest in Dublin Ops

Swiss maintenance firm SR Technics is receiving interest from more than 20 parties proposing to take over all or parts of its operation at Dublin Intl Airport (DUB). In mid-February, the company announced plans to close the Dublin maintenance facility — resulting in the loss of 1,135 jobs — and enter into consultations with the unions representing those workers. But a company spokesperson told the Irish Times that SR Technics was examining the expressions of interest, and may pursue its options after determining whether they are financially reasonable.
