SIAEC Tapped for Fleet Management
Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has chosen SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) to provide a fleet management program for its Airbus jets. Under the three-year agreement, the Singapore-based company will cover airframe and engine maintenance, repairs, component services, modifications and conversions. Gulf Air Deputy CEO Ismail Karimi says the deal will allow the airline to “refocus on our engineering and maintenance systems and processes so that we keep our fleet in top order to meet our current network demand and our future growth,” adding that SIAEC will train local Gulf Air engineering staff.
