SAIC to Construct Robins Hangar
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded contract to Science Applications Intl Corp. (SAIC) to design, engineer and build a cargo aircraft hangar at Robins AFB in Georgia. The agreement, worth more than $20 million, covers a period of 21 months. SAIC subsidiary the Benham Companies will assist with designing and constructing the multi-bay hangar. Benham Constructors President Mike Gwyn notes that the facility will expand the capacity for aircraft maintenance at Robins.
