Rockwell Collins Extends PBL Contract


The U.S. Coast Guard has granted a 10-year extension for Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Rockwell Collins to continue providing performance-based logistics (PBL) service and support for a total of 213 aircraft. The $35-million, fixed price per flight hour deal covers three new platforms — the MH-60T, HC-130H/J and HC-144A — as well as existing HH-65s and HU-25s. The original contract involved 112 aircraft. Rockwell Collins will supply spares management, component reliability improvements, logistical support and field service engineering for its avionics equipment.
