Bombardier Aerospace has obtained Transport Canada (TC),
FAA and EASA approvals to adjust its line maintenance intervals for the CRJ700/705/900 NextGen and Q400 aircraft. The approvals, which fall under the Maintenance Requirements Manuals (MRMs) for the various aircraft, allow Bombardier to implement a methodology that incorporates maintenance check findings with a statistical approach to predict required intervals. Under the previous system, intervals could only be changed after five years in service. With the new approvals, interval adjustments can be made after two years of service.
