Piper Appoints New CEO and President

Vero Beach, Fla.-based Piper Aircraft has promoted two executives — Kevin Gould and John Becker — to replace President & CEO James Bass, who is leaving the company. Gould, currently vice president of operations, will take on the CEO role and Becker, now vp of engineering, is the new president. A private pilot, Gould started working for Piper in 2005, coming from Adam Aircraft. An A&P mechanic and instrument-rated commercial pilot, Becker joined Piper in 1989 and has served as a Designated Engineering Representative (DER) for the FAA.
