Norwegian Air Becomes New Lufthansa Client

Norwegian Air Shuttle, based near Oslo, and Lufthansa Technik AG, signed a new Total Component Support TCS(R) contract in Hamburg. Norwegian Air Shuttle currently operates a fleet of 23 Boeing 737-300 aircraft and will add another four jets in 2008. The airline also announced an order for 42 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. During the next five years, Lufthansa will provide component support for the fleet and will establish a dedicated component stock for Norwegian Air Shuttle at the Oslo airport. "The signing of this contract is another indication for the acceptance of our TCS(R) product. Norwegian will profit from the excellent cost-performance-ratio of our Total Component Support TCS(R) and our latest developments in high-tech repair processes," said Walter Heerdt, SVP marketing and sales Lufthansa Technik. TCS(R) provides airlines guaranteed access to one of the largest component pools in the world, with regional contact points available on all continents as well as dedicated component stocks at the airlines' locations.
