Northwest’s Predicament
During the past week, Northwest Airlines canceled more than 850 flights, which equates to more than 100,000 passengers. According to pilots, the cancellations are due to bad planning, but the airline says bad weather is the culprit. Whatever the reason, the airline is at 10 times the normal cancellation rate among its competitors. To help ease the frustration levels, Northwest is relaxing ticket restrictions, increasing reservation staffing and contacting consumers directly. For Related News
