Indianapolis Diversified Machining (IDM) has shut down operations at Indianapolis Intl Airport (IND), cutting the jobs of its final 50 workers. The move follows management assurances that there would be plenty of work for the company’s mechanics, according to the
Indianapolis Star. Two former United Airlines mechanics founded the company in 2003 after United vacated a large maintenance hangar at the airport. IDM worked on aircraft mostly for AAR Aircraft Services.
