Maintenance Hub Planned in India

Malaysia Airlines has announced plans to establish an aircraft maintenance hub in Hyderabad, India. Under a joint venture agreement with GMR Hyderabad Intl Airport, an MRO will be set up for narrow and wide-body aircraft at the Rajiv Gandhi Intl Airport. According to GMR, opening of the maintenance center is currently targeted for the third quarter of 2009.
