Lycoming Upgrade Introduced for Cardinal

Cessna’s Parts Distribution group and its network of authorized service facilities (ASFs) will serve as distributors for the Lycoming IO-390-A1A6 installation kit on in the Cessna 177RG Cardinal. Lycoming, Cessna and McCauley Propellers recently obtained a supplemental type certificate (STC) for the upgrade, which includes the engine, Slick Start ignition system, McCauley governor and necessary hardware. Cessna, Lycoming and McCauley are all Textron subsidiaries.
