Lycoming Launches Service Center Network

Textron subsidiary Lycoming Engines is establishing a network of authorized service centers (ASCs) for its new iE2 integrated electronic engine and IO-233-LSA light sport engine. Through Monday, Lycoming has appointed 27 ASCs, including North Andover, Mass.-based Executive Flyers Aviation and Yingling Aviation in Wichita, Kan. Executive Flyers provides maintenance for Mike Goulian, an aerobatic pilot and Red Bull Air Race performer that Lycoming sponsors. To become a Lycoming ASC, companies must meet equipment and facility standards, a minimum level of staff training and quality and professionalism requirements. Lycoming will supply online training to assist designated ASCs.
