Lufthansa Technik Obtains AEO Certification

The World Customs Organization (WCO) has granted Lufthansa Technik authorized economic operator (AEO) status for customs simplifications/security and safety. LHT becomes the first maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company to achieve the designation, which involves European Union security and safety standards regarding reliability, solvency and legal provisions. Since early 2008, around 700 companies have received the AEO status within 27 WCO member countries.
