Lufthansa Signs NAS Maintenance Deal

National Air Services of Saudi Arabia has chosen Lufthansa Technik to provide its Total Component Support (TCS) program for up to 40 executive and VIP aircraft. The five-year agreement, which covers work on the NAS base at King Khalid Intl Airport (RUH), is an extension of a deal reached in May 2008. Component maintenance, repair and overhaul for Airbus A320s and the Embraer 190/195 family are also included in the contract. NAS’s low-cost carrier, nasair, operates those aircraft. Lufthansa says that the two companies are evaluating further opportunities to cooperate on aircraft maintenance.
