Lufthansa Launches Trainee Program

Lufthansa Technik is offering an international trainee program for highly motivated engineering, industrial engineering, economics and computer science graduates with immediate effect. A total of 26 places will be available in 2008 for this 18 months program, with new intakes starting on 1 April and 1 October. Applications can be submitted as of now on www.be-lufthansa.com. Under the “StartTechnik” training program, the young graduates will undergo a brief introductory phase, following which they will experience four project placements in different parts of Lufthansa Technik. At least one of these placements will be located abroad at one of Lufthansa Technik’s subsidiaries. The graduates will be assigned responsible tasks and have a personal mentor at their side throughout the program to help them deal with the challenges they face. The trainees will be guided, challenged and fostered in their development in a manner tailored to their needs. “With StartTechnik we are targeting performance-oriented university graduates who have finished their studies successfully and are seeking international work experience. It is very important to us that the candidates are enthusiastic about our company and our products,” says Yukiko Elisabeth Kobayashi, head of Staff Development and Corporate Culture at Lufthansa Technik AG.
