Lean Management for EPCOR

A wholly owned subsidiary of KLM Engineering & Maintenance, EPCOR is able to maintain auxiliary power units (APU) within 30 days. “We were able to lean our processes in such a way that we could reduce the number well below 30,” said EPCOR’s Managing Director, Paul Chun. “The lack of available parts worldwide is an additional complicating factor.” The company was able to turn the Boeing 777 APU around in 30 days, helping to prevent operational delays.
