LTQ Engineering Expands Workforce

Qantas Airways and Lufthansa Technik joint venture LTQ Engineering has boosted its number of employees by 25 percent in its first year of operation. The Melbourne, Australia-based company, which has upgraded its GE and CFM56 engine shop in recent months, now has a staff of more than 200 workers. LTQ Engineering’s facility at Melbourne Intl Airport (MEL) features more than 25,000 square meters (269,100 square feet) of hangar and workshop space, as well as a test cell for engines with up to 100,000 lbs of thrust.
