JAL Joins Embraer Pool Program

Embraer Asia Pacific (EAP) has finalized a 10-year parts supply contract with Japan Airlines (JAL). Under the Pool program, Embraer will provide replacement parts for 10 Embraer 170s in service with J-Air, a JAL subsidiary that offers regional service in Japan. The airline also has an option to purchase another five 170s.

Around 350 part numbers are involved in the deal, as well as warehousing storage space, which Embraer says will lower J-Air’s inventory management costs.
