IAE Produces 4,000 V2500s
Hartford, Conn.-based International Aero Engines (IAE) is reporting the completion of its 4,000th V2500 series engine. The engine, which is in the SelectOne configuration, will be installed on an Airbus A319 that is scheduled for delivery to Brazilian airline TAM in August. Jon Beatty, president and CEO of the consortium, says the milestone “is proof of a successful strategy of continuous innovation and pushing technological boundaries through the strong support of our shareholders,” which include Japanese Aero Engines, MTU Aero Engines, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce.
