HNA Order Includes Engine Maintenance

Rolls-Royce has confirmed a $1.2-billion order to equip Hong Kong Airlines Airbus A330s with the Trent 700EP. The agreement — solidified with HNA Group, a major shareholder of Hong Kong Airlines — includes a long-term TotalCare services contract. The TotalCare program is a management package that can be customized for various operators. Elements include predictive maintenance, logistics management, repairs and overhaul. Initial A330 deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2010.
