FAA has expanded its organization designation authorization (ODA) approval for Gulfstream. Additions involve the company’s final-phase manufacturing and service center in Savannah, Ga. and facilities in Appleton, Wis., Brunswick, Ga., Dallas, Texas, and Long Beach, Calif.
FAA issued ODA for Savannah initial-phase design, manufacturing and airworthiness in May 2008. Gulfstream’s ODA office consists of around 25 full-time employees and more than 200 engineering and inspection personnel. Bill Whitton, vice president of the office, is leading the company’s efforts regarding ODA.
