EASA recently determined that all four Gulfstream large-cabin aircraft models – the G550, G500, G450 and G350 – are capable of flying routes that are up to 180 minutes from an emergency or diversion airport. This recent engineering approval, which adds 60 additional minutes, translates into an additional 380 nautical miles that an aircraft can fly from the nearest airport. It also affirms that these aircraft are capable of flying extended twin-engine operational performance standards routes. The company also appointed a new director of product development and manufacturing operations. Greg Collett will direct all activities for the company’s new manufacturing facility currently under construction in Savannah. Ga.
