Gulfstream Increases European Spares Inventory

Over the past four years, Gulfstream Aerospace has quadrupled the size of its spare parts inventory in Europe. The company now maintains more than $12 million in high-turnover spare parts at its Luton, England, service center to support Gulfstream operators based in Europe and transient operators passing though the region. In April 2003, Gulfstream began operating in Luton after acquiring the BBA Aviation Luton maintenance business that was known as Signature Flight Support. A year later, Gulfstream doubled its Luton hangar space to 56,000 square feet by leasing an adjacent site. In 2006, approximately 1,300 Gulfstream aircraft were serviced at the Luton facility.
