Goodrich Lightens Boeing 777 Brakes

Charlotte, N.C.-based Goodrich Corp. has developed lightweight main wheel and brake assemblies for the Boeing 777-200LR, Freighter and 777-300ER. Available starting this month, the assemblies save an estimated 260 lbs on each aircraft, which leads to a reduction in fuel costs, according to Goodrich.
