Boeing has approved Goodrich Corp. to provide service bulletin inspections and modifications for Next-Generation 737 aircraft at its service center in Foley, Ala. The service bulletin, SC1079, involves inspection of the aircraft’s CFM-56-7 engine thrust reverser inner walls and insulation blankets, including checking for signs of heat damage and related issues. Stuart Kay, general manager of the center, points out that “our rotable pool of nacelle system components is available to operators who need to keep flying while service bulletin work is being performed.”
