From the Wall Street Journal:
Aviation regulators appear poised to issue a preliminary report giving much of the industry high marks for maintenance compliance, according to people familiar with the matter. The anticipated Federal Aviation Administration findings come after three weeks of much-publicized airline safety checks and schedule disruptions that have provided further ammunition for an investigation on Capitol Hill. Among other things, the staff of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee is looking at cockpit windshields on some Boeing aircraft that may pose electrical-fire hazards, according to industry and government officials
