FAA has given the maintenance department of Denver-based Frontier Airlines a Diamond award for the 10th year in a row. The award recognizes maintenance facilities whose technicians undergo training beyond initial certification requirements. According to Ron McClellan, vice president of maintenance and engineering, “no other major airline has ever received this prestigious award for 10 consecutive years with 100 percent participation.” Each of the airline’s 303 maintenance and engineering workers were involved in this year’s program.
