Dassault has opened a U.S. west coast spares distribution center and announced plans for two new Falcon service centers — in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Reno, Nev. A joint venture with UPS, the 20,000-square-foot spares facility is located in San Jose, Calif. Dassault estimates that Falcon jet parts valued at more than $34 million will be based at San Jose by the end of the year. The planned 40,000-square-foot Reno service center will open in 2009 and offer line maintenance through C-checks for operators in the western U.S., as well as an AOG mobile response team. Dassault intends to open a $6.5-million service center at Sorocaba Airport in Sao Paulo in the fourth quarter of 2008. A 23,000-square-foot hangar will be capable of performing line maintenance and A-checks on up to three Falcons at a time. Spare parts and tooling will also be available at the Brazilian center.
