FAA Approves Increased Rudder Control for the Dassault Falcon 50
Landmark Aviation received the FAA approval to improve safety for aircraft operations in cross winds. The modification is available for airplanes with Collins’ APS-85 autopilot or Pro Line 21 avionics suite. According to Brian Watkins, VP of engineering at Landmark, “This modification increases the aircraft rudder control a full six degrees.” The modification will allow enhanced lateral maneuverability of the aircraft and increased mission capability, giving operators greater control in cross-wind conditions.
