DiSTI Obtains RAAF Support Contract

As part of a contract with the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center's Training Systems division, Boeing has chosen human machine interface (HMI) developer DiSTI to provide its 3D virtual maintenance training software for the F/A-18E. The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) will use the student aircraft interface trainer station (SAITS) to teach maintenance, ground operations and testing procedures for the F/A-18E's aircraft systems, including engines, avionics, landing gear, electrical, hydraulics and flight control. DiSTI will produce the trainer in Orlando, Fla., then transfer it to Boeing Training Systems and Services before delivering it to the RAAF base in Amberley.
