Delta Signs $1-Bil P&W Contract

Pratt & Whitney has secured a 10-year engine support contract from Delta Airlines. The agreement, estimated at more than $1 billion, stipulates that P&W’s Commercial Engines & Global Services division will supply maintenance, material and aftermarket support for the company and its Delta TechOps unit. More than 80 PW4000s are covered under an inventory logistics program as one element of the deal, and a second part involves material replacement and parts repair for TechOps’ MRO clients.
