Canada Receives a $1.5 Billion Boost
During the next five years, Pratt & Whitney Canada will invest $1.5 billion in R&D to create the next generation of made-in-Canada technologies. These technologies will involve new engines and aircraft, including business jets and helicopters. The R&D investment is projected to generate more than 1,500 direct and indirect jobs at P&WC’s facilities across Canada. A portion of the money, $75 million, will be distributed among 20 Canadian universities for collaboration projects. Canada’s government has pledged a royalty-based $350 million reimbursable contribution in support of P&WC’s overall $1.5 billion. More
