Bombardier Partners With Magellan

Charlotte, N.C.-based Magellan Aircraft Services has struck a deal with Bombardier Services Corp. to disassemble CRJ100/200 regional aircraft, refurbish various components and return them to operators. The initial deal involves 10 CRJ100s under management with Bombardier Commercial Aircraft’s Asset Management Group (AMG). Rod Sheridan, vice president of AMG, estimates that each of the aircraft “has about 1,500 parts, including 300 line replaceable units (LRUs), that can be refurbished and offered as a lower-cost solution for an operator’s spares requirements.”
