Bombardier Adds AOG/Line Maintenance Facility

Jet Aviation became Bombardier Aerospace’s first Line Maintenance Facility (LMF) in Russia. Located at Vnukovo International Airport, the Jet Aviation facility offers 24/7 aircraft on ground (AOG) service for Challenger and Global business jet models. Jet Aviation is the first global independent business aviation services company to operate in Russia. Located next to the Vnukovo 3 FBO building, Jet Aviation has access to a state-of-the-art hangar and is the most complete business aircraft maintenance facility at this airport. With more than 17,222 square feet of hangar space, Jet Aviation provides line maintenance, defect rectification and AOG support. Vnukovo International Airport is Moscow’s busiest airport for corporate aviation, handling nearly 70 percent of all business aviation traffic in Russia. In 2007, Vnukovo reported a corporate and private aircraft traffic increase of 50 percent from the previous year. The new LMF is a further step in Bombardier’s plan to expand its customer service footprint in the region. In 2006, Bombardier posted a full-time field service rep (FSR) in Moscow and named a new FSR manager, based in London, dedicated to international customers.
