Berjaya Air Orders ATR 72-500s

The Malaysian-based carrier signed a $74 million agreement with ATR for four ATR 72-500 aircraft. The new 72-seat aircraft will replace Berjaya Air’s existing fleet of 48-seater Dash 7 aircraft and the airline is hoping that the new fleet will help lower maintenance costs. The ATR 72-500s will be delivered in 2009 and 2010.
