The charter company is currently operating under lease agreements at Melbourne International Airport and Merritt Island Airport, but plans to expand in Melbourne by opening a 22,000-square-foot maintenance facility. The new airport agreement for the facility allows Baer room for growth, “We have two-and-a-half acres and an option for a second two-and-a-half acres,” said a Baer spokesman. The company is finding new business with frequent flyers that have become frustrated with the discomfort and inconvenience of the larger carriers. The “on-demand” air charter operator plans to hire 10 more employees this year because of the expansion.
