Australia and U.S. Sign Aviation Agreement

Australia and the U.S. completed an agreement that will make it easier for Australian and U.S. companies to trade aviation components across the Pacific. Federal Transport Minister Mark Vaile said the agreement would free up trade in aircraft parts and provide opportunities for businesses in both countries. "The agreement establishes a mechanism through which the U.S. can accept certifications and approvals issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), reducing the need for duplication of processes in both countries,'' Mr Vaile said.
